There is a specific weight of cotton that feels like nothing and holds like something. Sea Island cotton, one of the rarest natural fibres grown, has that quality. Buttery to the touch, with a natural lustre that sits somewhere between silk and the finest Egyptian cotton. Once you feel it, ordinary cotton becomes difficult to go back to.
Ray of Hours worked with Italian spinners and Shanghai's fully fashioned knitwear tradition to shape two pieces from the same yarn: a long sleeve crew sweater and a short sleeve knit tee. Fully fashioned means each panel is knit to shape rather than cut from fabric — a slower, more considered method that eliminates waste and produces a cleaner finish at every seam.
Two pieces, one fabric, different hours. The sweater for the cooler ones: layered beneath a jacket or worn alone when the temperature drops. The tee for the warmest: the lightest possible layer that still holds its structure. Both in white, both in 100% Sea Island cotton, both arriving August 2026.
This is quiet luxury at its most literal. The kind you feel before anyone else notices.
